What we are
We explain general ideas in plain English, check our pages against their sources, and tell you when we last did. We want you to feel less alone and a little more prepared.
What we are not
We are not a law firm and we do not give legal advice. We cannot look at your case, tell you what to do, or promise any result. Reading this site does not create an attorney-client relationship.
State Editions
Pro Se Posse currently focuses on New York. The ideas here are general; New York details live in our reference library, linked at the end of each page. We will add other states only when a real contributor who knows that state's courts is on board.
Questions or corrections
Found something out of date or unclear? Write to [email protected]. We can fix pages, but we cannot give legal advice or review your case by email.
Where to go deeper
- Our New York reference library: detailed guides.
- The Pattern Library: an optional paid guide for people who want a structured system.
Get a short, calm note when something is added or re-checked
No countdowns, no pressure, no selling fear. Just a plain-English heads-up when a page is added or a rule we cover changes.
